Hello lovely readers! A quick announcement before we dive into the forecast: I’m launching a new written tarot reading in celebration of Valentine’s Day and, surprise, it’s all about LOVE. This custom spread will explore love in all its form and how it appears in romance, community, friendship, and family. You can find them here. Stay tuned for more themed readings as the year progresses (and don’t forget to share any suggestions in the comments below).

The court cards strike again! Friends, this is the third time in 2025 that we’ve had a 100% court card reading. For the record, this has never happened in Incandescent Tarot’s eight years of weekly and monthly forecasts. It’s only happened once when reading for a client in my professional tarot career.
Oftentimes, when I’m giving a reading to someone, I describe a trend or pattern as a “cosmic underline” to the message it’s delivering. So what’s this? A circle drawn in neon highlighter with several exclamation marks next to it? Just asking for a friend.
But in all seriousness, this is some serious tarot business! We’ve been dealing with issues of identity and it seems that the questions, experiments, soul-searching, and conflicts that these issues engender continue into this week.
Because this is a pattern, I think it’s helpful to look to the past context, the weeks of 2025 we’ve lived through so far, to see what we’ve learned. What have you learned in these spaces to date? Where you feel like more information, experience, or both is needed to deepen your understanding?
This is one of those spreads when simplicity and some pithy breakdowns will be helpful, so in that spirit here are two ways you can approach this reading:
As an avenue to explore and better understand yourself.
As a reflection of the general world around you.
Before we dive into some details I also want to offer a few words of affirmation: If things have felt complex, in flux, destabilizing, and/or full of excitement from the potential for change, these all court card tarot readings absolutely reflect that experience. It’s as if we’ve been thrown into the new year with a new set of rules and, perhaps, a desire to shed old identities, approaches, and patterns that no longer fit us, both personally and collectively. That’s a lot, and I often find that one of the most powerful aspects that tarot can give us is the permission to see and accept what it is we’re working with.
Right now, we’re working with a lot of swirling energy. This week specifically we’re engaging with themes of stability and wealth (King of Pentacles), intellectual curiosity and innovation (Page of Swords), and the urge to jump into action (The Knight of Wands).
What’s interesting about this spread is that we have one very established, very stable card - the King of Pentacles - being rushed at by two more youthful and dynamic cards. Disruption is on the menu this week, and I can’t help but think it’s necessary. If the recent chaos of court cards tells us anything, it’s that change is happening and, as destabilizing as it may be, it also opens up an opportunity for us to put our minds and hearts into shaping that change in directions we feel are beneficial.
So, this is an excellent week to interrogate and change our relationships to all things King of Pentacles: mastery, power, stability, wealth, health, authority, and generosity. Thankfully our other cards instruct us to follow our energy and take a more lighthearted, curious, and experimental approach.
Because we begin with the King of Pentacles, it’s likely that this area of our life is well-developed and quite obvious at the beginning of the week. It’s our thinking and instinct to act that’s new and interesting. Notice where your intellectual curiosity is piqued in the coming days. The Page of Swords loves to investigate new leads, ask probing questions, and examine established ways of thinking with fresh eyes. Our ability to breathe fresh air into the world of the King of Pentacles is powerful right now. Embrace this page’s beginner’s mind and detachment from what’s established, expected, and known and see what you can discover.
Similarly, at the end of the week we’re feeling enthused and ready to take action and change parts of our life with the bravery and energy of the Knight of Wands. While this may seem a little aggressive at first impression - two cards attacking the King of Pentacles - I don’t think it’s necessarily destabilizing or scorched earth. We can absolutely integrate the positive aspects of the King of Pentacles with the newness we’re being called to embrace in this particular moment.
What I love about the Page of Swords and Knight of Wands is that they form a dynamic and charming pair. Unconcerned with huge and weighty goals, they know how to gather just enough information to being acting accordingly. They respond to the environment and don’t waste time crafting elaborate projections into the future because, as we all know, so much can change along the way. So let your explorations through the Page of Swords directly inform the steps you take via the Knight of Wands. Transform your thoughts into actions and see what happens in response. It’s likely that we’ll learn a great deal about ourselves, our world, and what’s possible in the meantime.
Embrace:
Identifying what feels stale, stuck, or ready for change in your experience of the King of Pentacles, personally and collectively (look to power, wealth/resources, health, and structure)
Following your natural curiosity and exploring new ideas
Asking questions, gathering information, innovating
Generating simple ways to enact the resonant insights you discover
A flexible, dynamic, and responsive attitude
Letting what happens inform what you do next
Avoid:
Getting stuck in old ways of doing things
Letting practicality and predictability dictate the scope of your options
Ceding power to others, treating the status quo as the only way to do things
Getting lost in the details, making long projections in to the future
Missing opportunities to collaborate, connive, or co-create with others
