My dear and darling readers! I’m sending this check in, usually a feature for paid subscribers, to everyone this week since I disappeared and left you all without a Weekly Forecast. I’ll be honest; it was a straight-up hot mess over here last week. Some unforeseen health issues (thankfully now resolved) and general worry about the insanity of the world combined to form a perfect storm that I’m very grateful to be out of.

I’ve been talking with friends and clients and it seems like there’s a consensus: things are intense right now.

With this in mind, I wanted to open this up to a general check in - how are you doing amidst the change of the seasons? The stress of the approaching election? The seismic disruption happening globally? - as well as a place to look at our reading for the month through the lens of healing and centering.

Before we dive into the cards, I also wanted to share a fun bit of news. Moonlight, the snazzy new tarot platform I’ve been using for remote readings, is now offering pre-recorded fifteen-minute tarot readings. This means you can order a reading from me, sit back, and then receive a video of our session, all without having to find a time in your busy schedule to fit a live reading.

I’ve been having such a blast making these readings for clients so far - they’re snappy, potent, and magical in a hard-to-describe way. Oh, and they’re also only $25, so if you’d like to snag one, head over to my Moonlight booking page and I’ll start exploring the cards for you.

I’ve also crafted us a special tarot spread to work with these wild times that you’ll find below. You can do it for yourself (preferably after a nice, relaxing bath or stroll outside), for a friend or loved one, or, if you need some insight from an outside source, request one via Moonlight - simply write “The Star” in the intake form and I’ll work my magic for you!

Sending all the love, calm, and more.

A Tarot Spread for Healing with The Star

Lay out five cards, starting with one in the center, and the rest to the top, bottom, left, and right as if you’re forming a compass. Read as follows.

  • Card One (center): You as The Star - where you find healing, peace, and beauty.

  • Card Two (bottom): Inspiration - what well of inspiration you’re drawing from at the moment.

  • Card Three (left): Let Go - something (a worry, task, belief, plan) you can let go of.

  • Card Four (top): Growth and Support - what is coming to help you heal.

  • Card Five (right): Next Steps - what you can do right now to heal and grow.
